Marketing for Introverts and Highly Sensitive People: 5 Tips — 7 Comments

  1. I appreciate your tips. Marketing is hard work, especially for an introvert like me. It helps that the internet keeps me insulated from the rest of the world. However, I think it is a good idea to team up with someone better at marketing. You can get with an outgoing friend, or even hire out to a marketing company. This way you will have more time to do the work you like.

  2. As long as you’re sharing your work with other people—the right people—then you’re marketing. Because really, all marketing is is communication. And even introverts know how to do that, even if it’s in small doses.

  3. Thanks for the tips. Personally, I’m an introvert, and I’ve had to put a lot of effort into branching out and doing sales for my company. It’s always a struggle- no matter how accustomed I get to talking to people, picking up the phone is always a challenge. But thanks to the repetitive practice, it gets better once I finally get started.

    • Jack, Thank you for your comment; I’m a total introvert although I do like public speaking because fundamentally, it’s one-on-one. Marketing can be a challenge though!

  4. Thanks for this article. I am going to interview a nonHSP for my new book as well as try some of your ideas. Look forward to hearing more from you.

  5. Reading this gives me hope to know that other HSPs are making successful marketing business. As an introvert HSP who is VERY empathic, I find it very difficult to move forward in sale speak when I can feel the other person’s feelings being quite overwhelming sometimes.
