I Didn’t Know Vampires Were In – Honest! — 8 Comments

  1. Love that last line! "Playing is the most important work a writer can do." Sounds ike one of those great writerly quotes – and marvelous advice. Now, off to work — oops, I mean, off to play — I go. 🙂

  2. katiaraina is right, that is very quotable. They should probably have "How to say quote-worthy things" classes as part of MFA courses. ;p

That's also a sweet story. It's funny how trends can just kind of accidentally happen without the participants realizing until later. That's what it seems to be with baby names too. Everyone think they're doing something new, and then it turns out everyone else is doing it too.

The idea for my middle-grade manuscript came from my son. My children are great inspirations, but I just tell them that it's about time they started earning their keep by giving me story ideas.

    BTW, visiting from SheWrites.
